Crab legs on point as always and shrimp was perfect. Great little cozy bar. Not too much room for any more than 4 but that's fine for us!

Great local hole in the wall type place. Nothing fancy but the food does not disappoint and excellent service!

My family and I walked in wearing our masks to grab lunch. Immediately when we walked in everyone stared at us like we were aliens (I think because we had masks on). The woman, instead of even offering a menu, was extremely rude saying “you can’t have that in here” to my mom holding an iced tea. That is understandable, but considering that was the first thing out of her mouth when we walked in just felt uncomfortable. We asked for menus but went ahead and left due to the interaction. If you can’t have good customer service you should not be in the restaurant industry.

Quick and friendly service. Awesome wings, shrimp and crawfish! Delicious! Looks like a dive by the side of the road... don't judge a book by it's cover... great seafood, bar and atmosphere!

Staff was real nice, clean facility, prices weren't bad - but we ordered fried shrimp, and there was nothing "fried" about them. LoL Ordered them to go and should have checked the bag before leaving.

Love this place! Lots of personality- shrimp in wonderful and drinks are cold! Perfect place to stop in and chill. Not very big, and limited seating, but they make it work! The waitress/bartender does an awesome job at juggling all her customers!!

Great friendly atmosphere. Visited this restaurant/bar back in 2016 and had to go back this time around in 2019. Moderate prices and prompt service. We tried the raw oysters and steamed scallops and they were delicious!

Pop's has some very good food even in the off season, which is when my wife and I went. The bartenders are always great and even they're helpers were entertaining. (We will call him squirrel)

We have come to Pops every year for many years but this was the last. The quality was not it's normal. The menu was misleading. It said "hot drawn butter" and it was margarine. The waitresses never checked on us after our meal arrived and they were not at all busy. Was very disappointed.

Omg! The famous pops three from the sea!! The homemade cocktail sauce is absolutely AMAZING! but beware that the horseradish hint in it packs a kick that'll clear your sinuses but it's the best cocktail sauce I've ever had in my 32 years of existence.

Great experience! The fried pickles...perfect! We are a group of 12 (8 just in my family), and many were in mood for different things. The Trigger fish platter was some of best I have had(I had fried, but can get grilled or blackened also) and very good portion. My wife said the blackened shrimp tacos were excellent. The kids split a trio platter, and they said was very good. There was only 1 person serving bar and dining area, but she was moving just as quick as the cook and she kept my kids entertained. Over all very good experience and did not break the bank...a big deal for large family!

Don't let the outside fool you. It's an amazing little place with incredible food. The tuna bites and blackened shrimp are out of this world.

Absolutely the best raw oysters I have ever had. They have fresh deliveries from a farm very close to the restaurant. Can't recommend this place too strongly. Went there several times. Shrimp oysters hush puppy heaven!

Will definitely go back here! Such a nice, casual atmosphere, friendly folks. Had beers, crab wasabi, spicy streamed shrimp, raw oysters on the half shell and they were amazing! The crab wasabi were little fried balls of crab cakes, wasabi, and cheese. I am in love with these. They were so good! One of the best things I've ever eaten. Perfect cocktail sauce with horseradish. Fast service, super nice staff. Great prices too.

Pop's had a Fish House across the street that backed up to the water. This place was amazing! It didn't look the best from the outside, but the food was out of this world. Unfortunately, a hurricane came through and wiped out our beloved little hole in the wall restaurant. We were saddened, but wish the Raw Bar all the best!

Very cool little spot. The bartender was super chill and informative. Their was a nice group of regulars that hooked me up with some leads. I was recommended to drop in for some fresh seafood and I’m glad we did. The Cajun crawldads were definitely tasty, the grilled scallops were delicious and prepared perfectly. We even went for some NC BBQ🤤You should treat yourself and stop in. From the outside your probably think oh great another dive bar but you gotta really give em a shot. What else you gonna do on that island during Covid!? Check’em out!

Great fresh seafood. Lemon pepper scallops were the best! Fried oyster sandwich and raw oysters were also very good.

Good food. Service fast, beers nice and cold. Ate there twice in one week while on vaca to the Outer Banks. Had burgers one night, fried scallops another. Bother very tasty. I plan on going back. Oh yeah

Wow what a nice little hole in the wall. The bartenders are Awesome and the patrons that I met made me feel at home. Food is 5 star as well. Great place to visit every time your on the island.

Sooooo yummy. House made cocktail sauce so you can actually taste the horseradish. Amazing raw oysters. Never had fried shrimp that wasn't breaded before, and it was so good! Loved Pop's. My man said he's gonna dream about that food. Will definitely become a regular stop for us when we come to OBX.

I had to give it 5 stars just for the oysters. I've had raw oysters from places all along the east coast and I think these were the best I've had. They are local and look small but the meat inside is surprisingly large and has a great flavor and texture. I really wasn't expecting them to be so good just from looking at the place.The atmosphere is like a roadhouse centered on the bar. Has a local feel. Not super loud inside and the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. Good selection of beer (they even had Newcastle) and the other food was good. They need to hire at least a 2nd person for the bar area though, the poor woman looked exhausted.

This place was incredible... we are already looking forward to visiting on our next trip. My wife LOVED the oisters and I loved the spiced shrimp! Great prices and atmosphere.

Downgrading my rating. Horrible wait staff. Walked in and turned around and left due to the rude reception. Tip for the owners: you are not busy enough to restrict seating. Someone eating at a 4 place table.is better than nobody eating at either. This was the second time and I am done, food is not that great.Looking for a great bar go to the Lighthouse where they welcome you!

have been here many times before and enjoyed. however today had fried oysters and they were so salty practically inedible. no follow up from staff.
